Employee Benefits .Description:The Business Manager will provide administrative expertise for the Community Engagement and Health Equity (CEHE) Office at the University of Illinois Cancer Center. This position is responsible for managing and participating in the execution of day-to-day administrative, operational, financial, and communications activities for the CEHE Office, in addition to serving as a liaison between the CEHE office and the Cancer Center's Human Resources office.Duties & Responsibilities:Provide technical, administrative and coordination for the day-to-day operations of the CEHE Office. Support for CEHE team meetings including logistics, note-taking, purchasing, and collaboration with team members.Under the supervision of the Director, generates administrative reports and collaborates with the Department of Finance to reconcile and manage office budget. Tracks expenditures on hard and soft (grants/contract) funds; participates in the administration of research grants/projects. Supports regular reconciliation of financial accounts for the unit and work with the Director in ensuring compliance with the departmental budget.Responsible for business transactions including travel and procurement credit card reconciliations/approvals, and the development and management of purchase orders and payments through various university systems including Chrome, iBuy and BANNER.Manages CEHE Director/Associate Directors/CEHE office activities (calendars, scheduling, organizing team meetings, travel and conferences). Prepares visual presentations and correspondences. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary including maintaining records for the unit such as time-off calendars, event calendars, and the CEHE schedule. Coordinate with Communications team to assure events are listed on the Cancer Center website.Participates in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and maintenance of staff positions, including but not limited to processes related to interviewing, selection, building/elevator/office access, office needs, computer/software/system access, and CEHE space assignments and physical asset inventory.Support regular reconciliation of financial accounts for the unit and work with the Director in ensuring compliance with departmental budget.Serves as a liaison with other units within the UI Cancer Center, on campus and external partners.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Required :A. Bachelor's degree in accountancy, business administration, management, or a closely related field.ORB. Three (3) years (36 months) of work experience in accounting, business administration, fiscal management, or closely related experience.ORC. A combination of such education and/or work experience totaling three (3) years (36 months), as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)60 semester hours or an Associate's Degree equals eighteen months (18 months)90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)To Apply:
