Your positive, professional, and consistent personal interactions make AvalonBay a great place to work.The RoleThis person will provide analytical and project management support to ground-up development asset teams and regional Development Department. This person will also coordinate development project aspects, manage external relationships, support budgeting processes, and assist with sourcing and due diligence efforts.Essential Job Functions:External Relationship BuildingBuild constructive and collaborative relationships with consultants, vendors, and municipalities at administrative and project management levels.Project ManagementAssist in preparing quarterly development reports (DRU) and monthly community reports (DCR).Coordinate with design, construction teams, and vendors on FF&E scope for new development projects.Collect, organize, and follow up on investment packages for AvalonBay’s Management Investment Committee (MIC) review.Prepare soft cost budgets for presentation to senior team members.Analyze, track, and resolve issues related to soft cost budgets and maintain them in AVB’s tracking systems.Consultant and Vendor Selection & ManagementCoordinate bid processes, including obtaining design proposals from A&E and other consultants.Prepare contracts for selected consultants.Collaboration & LeadershipSupport asset teams by maintaining project plans and managing project task completion.Sourcing & Business DevelopmentAssist with due diligence, feasibility analysis, financial updates, and market studies.Obtain demographic and market research for existing development rights and land acquisitions.Update supply pipeline reports quarterly with Market Research Group.Minimum Qualifications:Education:
Undergraduate degree required.Certifications/Licensures:
LEED or other industry certifications desirable, but not required.Experience:
