Position Overview
We are in search of a visionary and strategic Vice President of Real Estate Development to lead the significant expansion of an innovative healthcare model that integrates Emergency Room and Urgent Care services. This key role involves overseeing critical daily operations, including site selection, development, construction, and asset management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, with a proven history of managing extensive portfolios and fostering high-performance teams within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position requires close collaboration with executive leadership, external consultants, brokers, developers, contractors, and hospital partners to facilitate the successful launch of new facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Direct the daily functions of real estate development for a diverse portfolio of over 60 prospective sites.Navigate intricate partner health system leadership and approval protocols.Meet rigorous budgetary and timeline objectives related to design, development, and construction projects.Identify and analyze potential new markets and submarkets to inform expansion strategies.Oversee the effective launch of new ER/Urgent Care facilities, managing all equipment procurement and service continuity.Work in tandem with various departments, including finance, legal, implementations, and operations, to ensure the seamless execution of projects.Maintain team accountability and performance through consistent reporting of key performance indicators.Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to cultivate future leaders within the organization.Articulate and execute a vision aimed at achieving the next level of success within assigned areas.Analyze relevant data, recognize trends, and formulate strategies to enhance capacity and foster substantial growth.Supervise the creation and delivery of deal memos, proformas, and presentations.Strategically position the portfolio to ensure long-term profitability and market share.Monitor site performance and initiate continuous improvement measures to maximize efficiency, profitability, and service quality.Prepare materials for meetings with the Board of Directors, Real Estate Committee, and conduct ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders.Required Skills
Preference for a Master's degree in MBA, healthcare management, or real estate.A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a strategic senior leadership role within a relevant real estate sector, such as retail or multi-site healthcare.Exceptional attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, and high emotional intelligence are essential for thriving in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead both direct reports and indirect resources effectively.Strong collaborative mindset and ability to foster relationships while achieving shared objectives with both internal and external stakeholders.Proven capacity to recruit, retain, and nurture a talented real estate team.Extensive experience in managing a substantial pipeline and portfolio.Proven ability to juggle competing priorities within a high-growth, fast-paced environment.Executive presence and excellent communication skills for engaging with all organizational levels, including executive leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams.Ability to thrive in a complex, high-pressure growth environment while being a strong collaborative partner to the executive team and key stakeholders.Exceptional skills in creating and maintaining productive partner relationships.Employment Type: Full-Time
