Position Overview:Intuitive Health currently partners with 15 health systems nationwide to roll-out the hybrid ER and Urgent Care model. There are dozens of additional partnerships in the pipeline. The Vice President of Real Estate Development plays a critical role in driving the rapid growth of this innovative healthcare model. Reporting to the SVP of Development, the role leads the day-to-day functions including site selection, development, construction, and asset management, while influencing, developing, and implementing real estate strategies for the company. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a successful track record of building and leading high-performance teams, while managing a large and growing portfolio in a fast-paced environment. This role will work closely with Executive Leadership, key consultants, brokers, developers, contractors, and hospital partners to define, discover, vet and open new ER and Urgent Care facilities.
ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day functions of Real Estate development for a 60+ de novo site pipelineAbility to navigate complex partner health system leadership teams and approval processesLead the team to achieve aggressive budgets and timelines related to design, development, and constructionWork with real estate data and Leadership teams to identify new markets and submarkets worthy of expansionResponsible for overseeing process and implementation of the successful opening of new ER/Urgent Care facilitiesReview and approve real estate actions on all new dealsOversee all equipment procurement and ongoing serviceCollaborate with functional areas throughout the company including finance, legal, implementations, and operationsMaintain accountability and performance of team results through regular reporting of KPIs and metricsProvide leadership and coaching to grow and develop leaders within the teamDevelop, articulate, and implement a vision for reaching the next level of success for areas of responsibilityAnalyze data, recognize trends, and formulate ideas to expand capacity and achieve significant growthOversee the creation and presentation of deal memos, proformas and presentationsStrategically position the portfolio for long term profitability and market shareMonitor site performance and implement continuous improvements to maximize productivity, profitability, and serviceKeep stakeholders in-the-know by preparing materials for Board of Directors meetings, Real Estate Committee meeting, and ad-hoc analyses for investors and Board membersSkills & QualificationsMaster's degree preferred – MBA, healthcare mgmt., real estate10+ years’ experience in a strategic, senior leadership roleProven management and leadership experience within an applicable real estate environment (i.e., retail or multi-site healthcare)Keen attention to detail, strong prioritization skills and high emotional intelligence with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProven leader who can mentor, lead, drive, and motivate direct reports and indirect resources.Strong sense of teamwork with the ability to foster relationships and achieve shared goals across internal and external stakeholdersAbility to recruit, retain and develop a strong real estate teamAbility to generate and manage a large pipeline and portfolioAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, high growth environmentExecutive presence and strong communication skills with all levels of an organization including Executive Leadership, Vendors and Cross-Functional TeamsAbility to thrive in a complex, fast-paced, high pressure, growth environmentStrong collaborative partner to the business, Executive Team and key internal stakeholdersAbility to create and maintain strong partner relationships
