Job OverviewWe invite you to be a key player in a transformative initiative within the healthcare sector, partnering with health systems nationwide to implement groundbreaking hybrid Emergency Room and Urgent Care models. In your role as Vice President of Real Estate Development, you will be instrumental in steering the advancement of this innovative healthcare venture. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Development, you will manage daily operations encompassing site selection, development, construction, and asset management. Your strategic insight will be critical in shaping and executing real estate strategies that resonate with our organizational objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect the daily operations of real estate development with a focus on a robust pipeline of over 60 new sites.Navigate intricate leadership dynamics and approval workflows within partner health systems.Lead the team to successfully meet ambitious timelines and budgets throughout design, development, and construction phases.Collaborate with real estate and leadership teams to pinpoint new markets and submarkets suitable for expansion.Oversee the rollout of new ER/Urgent Care facilities, managing the implementation process effectively.Review and sanction real estate actions for all prospective deals.Supervise equipment procurement and ongoing service management.Encourage cross-functional collaboration across finance, legal, and operational areas.Ensure accountability through regular reporting on key performance indicators and metrics.Provide mentorship and leadership to cultivate future leaders within the team.Develop and articulate a compelling vision that drives success in your domain.Analyze data to recognize trends and formulate strategies for capacity expansion and substantial growth.Oversee the generation and presentation of deal memos, pro formas, and various presentations.Strategically enhance portfolio positioning for long-term profitability and market dominance.Monitor site performance and implement ongoing improvements to optimize productivity, profitability, and service quality.Maintain communication with stakeholders by preparing materials for Board meetings and ad-hoc analyses for investors.Required SkillsA Master’s degree is highly preferred (MBA, healthcare management, or real estate).Over 10 years of experience in a strategic senior leadership capacity.Demonstrated management and leadership proficiency within a relevant real estate context, such as retail or multi-site healthcare.Attentive to detail with strong prioritization capabilities and high emotional intelligence, thriving in a fast-paced environment.A proven leader adept at mentoring, motivating, and inspiring teams across functions.An inherent team player with the ability to forge strong relationships and achieve common goals across diverse stakeholder groups.Experience in recruiting, retaining, and developing a high-performing real estate team.Proven success in managing a substantial pipeline and portfolio efficiently.Exceptional executive presence and effective communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.A collaborative partner who excels in complex, high-pressure growth scenarios.Ability to nurture and sustain robust relationships with partners.Career Growth OpportunitiesThis position not only offers the chance to lead transformative healthcare projects but also provides numerous opportunities for professional development, including mentoring future leaders and participating in strategic decision-making processes that influence healthcare initiatives on a national scale.Company Culture And ValuesOur organization promotes a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
