Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development
Job Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development will have extensive experience leading teams and implementing processes for the successful management, development, acquisition, leasing, planning, design and construction of real estate assets. The preferred candidate also has a strong customer service orientation toward satisfying stakeholders. The role is responsible to supervise the day-to-day operations of the real estate department to expand the organization’s healthcare network via acquisition/leasing/development of new facilities and to manage existing assets and leasehold interests. The SVP of Real Estate Development will also assist the Executive Vice President, Facilities Management & Real Estate Development to oversee a comprehensive plan to manage all real estate assets and to develop and implement strategies to ensure the long-term financial viability, performance, and operational efficiency of all real estate assets.
The SVP of Real Estate Development will partner closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams. As determined and directed by the Executive Vice President, Facilities Management & Real Estate Development, the SVP of Real Estate Development will also oversee specified activities and initiatives of the facilities management department and the planning, design and construction department. This individual will supervise the Real Estate internal team, as well as outsourced third-party vendors, architects, contractors, engineers, consultants, brokers, and developers.

The SVP of Real Estate Development will report to the Executive Vice President, Facilities Management & Real Estate Development
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 15+ years experience working in real estate development or a related field; Master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree not required but a plus
Proven experience in real estate development or a related field with a track record of successful strategy development and implementation
Excellent written, oral communication, and negotiation skills
Computer literacy and competence with Excel and Word software
Superior organizational skills
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
Essential Functions:
Real Estate Development:
Oversee Real Estate Development department operations through day-to-day supervision of the internal team and outsourced third-party vendors, architects, contractors, engineers, consultants, brokers, and developers
Develop and implement comprehensive real estate development strategies aligned with overall organizational goals and objectives
Oversee preparation of plans, budgets, and cash flow reports related to real estate acquisition, leasing, and development
Oversee regular assessments of current leased and owned properties and identify opportunities for growth, consolidation, or divestment
Facilities Management:
As determined and directed by the Executive Vice President, Facilities Management & Real Estate Development, oversee specified activities and initiatives of the Facilities Management department
Planning, Design & Construction:
As determined and directed by the Executive Vice President, Facilities Management & Real Estate Development, oversee specified activities and initiatives of the Planning, Design & Construction department
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor an internal team of real estate, leasing, property management, design, and construction professionals
Manage and motivate external vendors and third-party project teams of design, construction, brokerage, and development professionals
Stakeholder Communication/Relations:
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on strategy, planning, performance and outcomes
Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of stakeholder satisfaction
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with overall organizational goals and objectives; local, state and federal regulations; and organizational and industry standards
Technology Integration:
Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate relevant technologies to enhance real estate development processes
