to join our team. We have 20 private suites and 5 OR rooms, performing outpatient surgical procedures in Bariatric, Orthopedic, General, Neuro/Spine, ENT, Pain, and Urology.Job Summary:
The manager of Quality and Risk Management Services is responsible for the departments of quality management and risk management of the hospital in support of the hospital’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position is responsible for the reduction of risk at the facility and proactively develops and supports the performance improvement process in compliance with regulatory, federal, and state requirements. Plans, organizes, and supervises activities in the hospital Quality Management Plan according to regulatory authorities. Recommends innovations and functions of the Quality Management System reporting activities to Administration and carries out mutually agreed upon programs.Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees all department quality assessment activities to assure continuous monitoring of hospital-wide performance improvement.Consults with administration regarding risk management issues and departmental functions.Coordinates the facility Quality/Performance Improvement Committee and applies recommendations into policies/procedures/practices as appropriate.Maintains a facility-wide Risk Management Plan that meets regulatory requirements.Works with facility leadership to ensure all staff and credentialed Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals are oriented and receive ongoing education regarding the Performance Improvement Plan.Manages facility processes for handling patient complaint and grievance incidents and initiating service recovery methods.Manages facility OPPE/FPPE and Peer Review processes.MIDAS super user with ORYX data input and reports as necessary.Establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.Identifies and remedies risk events through continuous customer satisfaction data review and employee involvement.Assists as needed in conducting RCAs of Adverse Risk Events, completion of FMEA projects, and defining facility Sentinel Events.Assists in the planning, measurement, monitoring, and analysis of quality programs throughout the hospital in a manner to meet or exceed the hospital’s goals and service to customers.Supervises the maintenance and dissemination of quality information through in-service education of hospital personnel and medical staff.Oversees the analysis of performance improvement data in relation to facility goals for presentation to Senior Management and appropriate committees.Required Skills:Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a Graduate of Professional school of nursing; BSN preferred.BLS preferred.CPHQ preferred.Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Medical/Surgical or Intensive Care nursing, or other acute care nursing experience preferred.Minimum two (2) years' experience in a progressive management position preferred.USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
