As a critical member of the payroll tax leadership team, you have the opportunity to create clarity from complex situations, influence organizational design to drive quantifiable value, and deliver world-class compliance and customer service to our payroll tax clients.What you’ll get to do:Lead and inspire a dedicated team of tax professionals who timely and accurately bulk file monthly, quarterly, and annual W-2 and Affordable Care Act (ACA) payroll tax returns.Work with clients to resolve issues involving agency tax filing rejections and penalty issues.Regularly correspond with tax agencies to gain insights and work towards mutual solutions and improvements.Draft and review internal and external communications to explain complex tax matters in easy-to-understand language.Create and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain standard operating procedures that drive quality and compliance as well as employee performance and engagement.Oversee the team’s operational budget and look for ways to drive revenue and cost efficiencies.Hire, train, and develop team members for a career with Dayforce.Partner with other internal departments to resolve issues, remove barriers, establish service level agreements, drive revenue, and improve processes impacting the tax operations and customer experience.Provide input on new Dayforce and tax engine features and enhancement at all stages, including discovery, request, development, testing, etc.Perform other duties or special projects as assigned that are specific to the essential operations of the business.Supervise Payroll Tax Analysts (8-11).Skills and experience we value:Minimum of 10 years of increasing leadership experience.Bachelor's degree required, Business or Finance degree preferred.Proven experience leading change management in a metric-driven environment.Business-minded and always looking for ways to drive revenue and cost savings and do processes smarter.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to be influential in a very fast-paced environment.Demonstrate analytical ability, technical, and quality orientation in problem resolution.Proficiency in working within Windows environment, business applications, and proprietary desktop tool sets.What would make you stand out:Experience in payroll tax, state and local tax matters, and tax controversy matters, such as penalty abatement.Client service experience with a focus on net promoter score (NPS) and driving client value.Qualification to represent taxpayers before taxing authorities (attorney, Certified Public Accountant, Enrolled Agent, etc.).Experience drafting/reviewing operational processes and procedures, training materials and communications materials (articles, newsletters, etc.).What’s in it for you:Dayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
