A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience, a strong interest in litigation, and exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills. This position involves representing clients in complex environmental litigation and providing counsel in pre-litigation, compliance, and administrative enforcement matters. The candidate should know key environmental statutes and regulations, have a passion for solving intellectual challenges, and excel on behalf of clients.Duties:
Represent clients in complex environmental litigation cases.Provide counsel and representation in pre-litigation matters, compliance issues, and administrative enforcement proceedings.Advise clients on real estate diligence matters involving environmental regulations.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of statutes, regulations, and case law related to environmental issues.Draft and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies and represent clients in court hearings and trials.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental law, including soil and groundwater contamination, water quality, air quality, and climate change.Engage with regulatory agencies and administrative bodies on behalf of clients.Requirements:
4-6 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in environmental litigation.Demonstrated interest in and experience with environmental law, including soil and groundwater contamination, water quality, air quality, and climate change.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.Eagerness to meet intellectual challenges and continuously develop legal expertise.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Active Bar membership in the State of California (required).Skills:
Strong litigation skills, including legal writing, case strategy development, and oral argument.In-depth knowledge of environmental statutes, regulations, and common law.Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively on complex legal matters.Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and excel in environmental law.Compensation and Benefits:
