The Laboratory Coordinator position at Pinnacle will allow you to engage with the patient throughout their journey while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.We are seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine, located in Seattle, WA. This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday starting around (7:00am-8:00am) and ending around (3:30pm - 5:00pm) schedule.RESPONSIBILITIESAct as the main contact for the laboratories, handling incoming calls, emails, and triaging as necessary. Follow up appropriately and alert lab staff to any emergent situations, helping to problem-solve.Respond to patient and SRM employee questions regarding lab services efficiently and resolve patient and staff concerns, including addressing complaints and claims.Coordinate biological material shipments, including coordination with patients, sending/receiving facilities, and couriers. Complete necessary paperwork and work with Embryologists to manage physical shipments.Manage MyEggBank shipments for internal and external donor egg matches, and work with Embryologists to transfer egg inventory for recipient cycles.Counsel patients on specimen disposition options (e.g., discard, donation, long-term storage) and assist with completing necessary consents.Prepare patient charts, labels, and petri dishes for Embryologists for IVF, FET, and egg thaw procedures.Counsel and advise patients on specimen disposition requirements in cases of divorce or death of a spouse.Attend daily Rounds Meetings for Lab and OR procedure scheduling, and prioritize patients based on Embryology needs.Review treatment plans of active patients to ensure physician orders are complete, following up as needed to address special requirements or missing orders.Perform dish setup of media for biopsy, stripping, and ICSI dishes, and assist in biopsy verification for Embryologists.Order equipment and clinical supplies for Embryology, Andrology, and Endocrine departments, managing inventory and working with vendors to maintain stock levels.Review and approve financial invoices for Embryology and Andrology departments.Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.Other duties and projects as assigned.POSITION REQUIREMENTSAssociate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.ART experience preferred.2+ years in management or coordination role preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills.Familiarity with office equipment (scanner, computer, fax, copier).Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS$23.00 - $34.00 hourlyThe compensation range for this position is between $23.00 and $34.00 per hour. Final salary offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications.
