Our retirement line of business serves institutions and churches, including hospitals, universities, seminaries, mission-sending organizations, family services, and evangelical Christian ministries.What You'll Do
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with retirement plan sales experience who thrives on engaging with others and successfully building relationships with plan sponsors and plan consultants alike. Your primary responsibility will be selling to churches and like-minded ministries such as mission-sending organizations and universities and colleges. It will be important for you to identify not only professionally but also personally with our mission of serving those who serve the Lord.How you will fulfill your potential:Build and implement the business plan to achieve growth/new business goals for large institutions by building senior/executive contacts with decision makers at targeted institutions and with plan consultants/investment advisory firms.Identify key prospects and targets, demonstrating proficiency in both the discovery process and moving through the Know, Target, Prospect, Value, Commit stages.Assist with lead generation marketing campaigns, cold calling, emails, and RFPs.Develop and deliver sales presentations.Manage multiple facets of the sales process with multiple opportunities including coordinating meetings, content, follow-up tasks, phone calls, proposals, presentations, commitment, and initial stages of onboarding.Input accurate and timely information into CRM relative to the sales process and data necessary to create realistic sales and revenue projections.Seamlessly transition sold clients to the Relationship Manager/Client Service team.Provide input on market trends, competitor analysis, or other business insights gathered in the field.Team with GuideStone’s Director of Intermediary Distribution in the plan consultant marketplace.Assist Retirement Relationship Managers on retention and participate in key initiatives within the company.What You'll Need
10+ years of large retirement plan sales or relationship management experience.In-depth knowledge of retirement plan products and services, preferably within the institutional not-for-profit retirement services market.A competitive personality with strong problem-solving skills.Ability to quickly establish trust and confidence.Strong knowledge of 403(b)(9) plans required; church plan knowledge helpful.Possess keen business insight and results-driven mentality.Track record of business development through new plan sales and retention.Ability to communicate effectively with strong written and oral presentation skills.Persuasive and compelling style with experience in conflict resolution.Advanced ability to think analytically and act strategically.
