full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), night shift ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER (Registered Nurse 3)

to join the Medical Oncology ICU. The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide direct nursing care, train and manage staff, spearhead quality improvement initiatives, and ensure safe patient care practices.SCHEDULE:

40 hours per week, night shift.RESPONSIBILITIES:Establishes and maintains credibility as a leader of day-to-day operations.Oversees staffing.Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions.Develops, coordinates, and maintains various work processes that ensure successful department function.Promotes effective communication among staff and patients.Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolutions.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:2 years of current or ICU nursing experience.Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience.An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington.BLS.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous work experience in ICU medical and or oncology nursing.ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKEUW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
