Hoplite Solutions is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented LAN Systems Integration and Test Technician to serve on a team of IT support professionals in Northern Virginia.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Troubleshoot, install, and configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.Provide technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network; test and analyze network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters, and servers.Install, support, and/or maintain LANs and/or WANs; evaluate and recommend networking product and software upgrades.Perform technical analyses of software, hardware, and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations.Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software.Solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams; work within broad guidelines and policies.
Hours of coverage:Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Basic Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.Bachelor’s Degree or Microsoft Certified Professional Program, Cisco Network certification, or any other approved information technology certification.Able to work on multiple projects with limited supervision, and ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in a busy environment.Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple concurrent projects.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions and work with customers in providing resolution.Must be a self-starter and work with a clear and defined mission.Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.BA/BS and four (4) years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6 years.
Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.

The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the company total compensation package for employees.
