GOAL:
Lead inventory / materials management, procurement, and supply management for whole goods portfolio including tractor, implements and UTV segments across 8 assembly and distribution centers in US, Canada, and Mexico. Drive strategic and tactical supply chain activities utilizing best-in-class supply chain processes, methods and systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will mainly entail, but not be limited to the following tasks:
Deliver on organizational strategy, processes and key performance indicators that will provide the company with a best-in-class supply chain organization.
Lead, facilitate, and execute the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) process in collaboration with sales, finance, product development material planning and production planning with Operations and 3rd party partners.
Manage the optimization of SAP ecosystem supporting material planning and procurement to ensure proper inventory levels and balanced against demand plan.
Lead transformation initiatives to drive continuous improvement, agility and visibility across the supply chain through evaluation of new technologies and industry best practices.
Work collaboratively with product development, quality and finance to manage performance and capabilities of suppliers to ensure quality, delivery and price commitment.
Optimize whole goods inventory across seven distribution centers to achieve fulfillment goals and turns objectives, while minimizing slow moving / aged material and associated costs.
Lead supplier collaboration strategies to strengthen procurement, material planning and dispatch visibility (ie portal, ASN, EDI).
Collaborate with product management, sales and marketing on new product introduction and model year changes to ensure material readiness and zero obsolescence.
Coordinate alignment of demand and supply planning with operations execution planning to ensure production, fulfillment and service targets are met.
Work closely with Logistics Manager to ensure timely dispatch with reliable, cost-efficient carriers.
Collaborate with quality team on resolution of supplier quality issues.
Coordinate with suppliers and accounts payable to ensure timely payments and to minimize aging invoices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, engineering or related business is required.
Professional certification in one or more supply chain / logistics functions a plus.
7-10 years of experience in supply chain operations is required.
3 years of experience in business strategy and project management a plus.
Experienced SAP user is required with proficiency in procurement and materials planning.
Experienced in developing and leading structured SI&OP process cross-functionally at all levels.
Proven change management process experience with the ability to drive positive change.
Ability to develop and execute supply chain KPIs from global business targets.
Proven track record of driving cost reduction through continuous improvement projects.
Possess strategic thought leadership with ability to look ahead and respond proactively – bias for action.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, and ability to converse with both local and foreign suppliers.
Must possess solid judgement and work autonomously from established goals and strategic direction.
Proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Familiarity with Office 365 is a plus.
Experience with international logistics, and domestic TL, LTL freight a plus.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to domestic and international partners.
Strong process-oriented skills leveraging systems, data and business process to drive sustainable improvements.
Must speak and write fluent English.
