The primary purpose of this position is to support the growth of transfer student enrollment by leading the strategic efforts tied to transfer support such as developing and implementing prospective transfer events, pipeline programming and partnerships, advising on time to degree, and leading and supporting a unit focused on transfer recruitment and enrollment coaching.Job Description
The Associate Director of Transfer Student Recruitment at UNC Pembroke is responsible for leading and managing recruitment strategies specifically targeted towards in-state and out-of-state transfer students. This role requires a strategic, data-driven approach to enhance and expand transfer recruitment efforts across the 58 North Carolina Community Colleges and beyond.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies for in-state and out-of-state transfer students.Create targeted plans to engage special populations, including military students and their families, to increase enrollment and support their transition to UNC Pembroke.Analyze recruitment data and trends to adjust strategies and ensure alignment with institutional goals.Lead recruitment efforts at 58 North Carolina community colleges, building and maintaining strong relationships with college advisors and faculty.Create the institutional plan for transfer recruitment events, including annual individual campus visit plan for each community college, as well as plan and participate in transfer fairs, and community outreach programs.Collaborate with academic departments, student services, and military and veteran support services to deliver a seamless transfer experience for students.Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance recruitment outcomes.Manage current new student transcript evaluation in partnership with the Registrar’s Office.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in related field preferred.Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or related areas, with a proven track record of successful transfer student recruitment and management.Skills:Strong strategic planning and organizational skills with the ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with various stakeholders.Experience working with community colleges and military populations is highly desirable.Proficiency in data analysis and the use of CRM (Target X is current solution).Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.Other Requirements:
Ability to travel frequently within North Carolina and to out-of-state locations as needed.Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during peak recruitment periods.Required Documents
