The Business Planner at JR286 will be an integral player on the Sales Operations and Strategic Accounts team, working with our most important accounts in North America. This individual will partner closely with the internal Strategic Account Sales Director and appropriate Account Executives, as well as the internal Sales Operations and Demand Planning Teams. They will also work externally with a limited set of Strategic Accounts and their buying and planning teams. As the business planner, you will be responsible for financial analytics to support short-and long-range forecasting, seasonal assortment planning, track weekly inventory and product sales performance to find opportunities to drive sales. You will also build business plans to support the Sales Director and AE’s on strategic initiatives. This individual needs to be an effective communicator, analytical, and a collaborative problem-solver who can incorporate broader business context into data and analysis.What You'll Do:Integrate into the Sales Operations team as your home base and support system. Collaborate on business reporting structure, forecasting tools.Collaborate with Strategic Account Teams & internal stakeholders to manage a seasonal/yearly forecast for both sales and receipts for a limited set of Strategic accounts.Contribute to and potentially lead monthly business meetings to review performance vs. forecast, point of sale trends and provide recommended actions.Analyze and track weekly sell thru and inventory data to understand trends and opportunities, partnering with the sales managers to present opportunities to the retail accounts to drive additional sales.Analyze and track weekly and monthly Auto Replenishment performance. Driving Scorecard discussions with Retail Partners, influencing accurate forecasting and door level performance and proper inventory levels.Analyze historical performance and recent trends to provide assortment recommendations to accounts for new product launches and seasonal categories.Partner and communicate with Demand Planning on a regular basis regarding the dynamics of the Strategic Account demand shifts to incorporate account forecasts into a global demand signal.Collaborate with sales leaders on creation of material used for quarterly business reviews, account presentations and senior leadership discussions with accounts.Other duties as assigned.What to Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field.At least 1-2 years of experience in Planning, Retail Buying. Knowledge and understanding of Sales, Margin, Turn, and retail language is important. Sales Operations, or Finance roles with experience planning and forecasting retail metrics is a viable alternative.Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, sumifs, index/match, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint.Attention to detail, strong business acumen, love digging into data and finding drivers to demand.Combine curiosity with critical thinking and good judgment, and like asking 'why' to unravel a seemingly complex problem and get to the root cause.Self-starter and persistent with strong analytical and organizational skills.Is known for developing and delivering results on a timely basis.Able to work in an ambiguous, fast-growing team-first environment.Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Additionally:Travel required 25-35% of the time.What We Offer:Company gym with access to personal trainer.Responsible Time Off (aka Unlimited).Free lunches Monday through Friday.Summer hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day).13 company holidays.Professional development workshops.Employee product discounts on selected brands.
