An excellent organization is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team in Nassau County, Long Island. This on-site role will support various HR functions and play a key part in promoting a positive work environment and ensuring effective HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of HR disciplines, including employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting, performance management, compliance, and training.

Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.

Manage the recruitment process, including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process to ensure a smooth new hire experience.

Assist with benefit enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries, and communicate information on company-provided benefits and open enrollment.

Support the performance review process, assisting managers in setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting evaluations to drive employee development.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies, updating management on any regulatory changes.

Facilitate employee training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and other developmental areas; assist in creating and implementing professional development programs.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, prepare HR reports, and ensure data integrity in HRIS systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.

Strong knowledge of HR practices across multiple functional areas.

Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of professionalism.

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills.

9:00am-5:00pm

Monday through Friday
