Job Description:To serve as Executive Assistant to the Dean for the Frank Batten College of Engineering. To represent the college and dean on various administrative projects and matters, provide guidance, resource, and support to all department chairs, directors, faculty, and outside constituents on and off campus. To serve as liaison for college and university committees and special events. To assist and support the dean in implementing and establishing college-wide activities requiring thorough knowledge of information relating to departments, faculty, committees, and the University. To interpret and respond to issues covered by established policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Working knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.Excellent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation (such as PowerPoint) and database management.Superior organizational skills.Excellent computer and communication skills.Proficiency in calendar management, document/report preparation and formatting in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni and the general public regarding the functions and mission of the College of Engineering.Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing work environment and handle multiple tasks while meeting prescribed or determined deadlines essential.Requires the ability to understand, interpret, apply and communicate information and the ability to apply analysis in the completion of functional procedures.Work involves high level administrative support in the Dean's Office.Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of tasks that require ingenuity, resourcefulness, discretion and flexibility.Demonstrated ability to work professionally with administrators, faculty, staff and all constituents of the College essential.Preferred Qualifications:
