HR Generalist

We are looking for a HR Generalist to join our Luxco team in St. Louis, MO. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including weekly payroll processing, recruitment, recording-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Providing support for various HR employee programs within the organization. Collaborating with management in implementing strategic initiatives that result in continuous improvement, enhance employee engagement, improve working relationships, and provide positive business results. Collaborating with management to communicate, implement, and ensure various Human Resource policies are enforced consistently.

Payroll Processing and Compliance

Reconcile weekly timecards in accordance with guidelines and policies; Verify accuracy of the information and execute a transfer of time files for processing each week. This includes time import, balancing, verification of data and report generation. Ensure pay rates are accurate (i.e. qualified training pay, shift differential, lead pay, etc.).Update weekly schedules as needed in timekeeping system for accurate calculation of payroll.Process weekly payroll.Manage paid leaves for employees (PTO, Jury Duty, Bereavement).Prepare and maintain personnel and payroll records for all present and past employees.Enter HRIS change data into systems as needed.Employee Recruitment

Administer pre-employment testing for operational positions.Conduct phone interviews for operational positions.Conduct reference checks as needed.Order necessary pre-employement screenings including background checks, Drug/Alcohol tests and physicals if needed.Send documents to new hires for completion and ensure completion and return prior to start date.Coordinate and schedule new employee orientations.Conduct HR orientation and onboarding to include assisting with benefit enrollment and supplying corporate communication with article information/picture.Employee & Labor Relations

Collaborate with management in attracting, developing, and retaining high quality talent.Consult with managers providing Human Resource Guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions).Conduct exit interviews and analyze data.Make recommendations to management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.Investigate and resolve conflict resolution issues, and other employee relations issues.Facilitate and/or provide training to the workforce.Misc. HR Administration Duties

Oversee Employee Uniform Program.Assist in planning and organization of events and employee recognition programs.Maintain gift card inventory and check-out cards as needed.Assist with various projects as needed.Administer employee relations programs such as ordering flowers, cookie bouquets, etc.Maintain employee attendance records.What do you need to bring to the table?

High school diploma or equivalent.Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.PHR/SPHR preferred.Minimum 3 years Human Resource related field.Minimum 3 year previous experience with payroll processing and automated payroll systems.What will we provide you with.
