Job Description
The Executive Risks Interns will work with underwriters using both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to understand and assess risk profiles and determine appropriate price, terms and conditions of a policy. Other job function expectations include ensuring appropriate file documentation and compliance, assisting direct manager with various departmental projects as necessary. Financial Institutions Underwriting
Manager: Victoria Hensley, AVP Executive RisksDescription: F.I. Underwriting focusing on E&O/D&O coveragePublic Commercial Underwriting
Manager: Deke Burns & Mike McLaughlin, AVP's Executive RisksDescription: Directors and Officers Insurance for public companies including EPL and Fiduciary LinesAssist group in performing tasks designed to gain an understanding of the Executive Risks marketplaceAnalyze financial statements, assess various risk exposures, and produce underwriting reportsWork with underwriting staff to analyze and improve broker relationshipsAnalyze notable trends and macro factors to help determine optimal portfolio breakdownResearch and present a final project to Executive Risk Commercial & Financial Institutions staffQualifications
Skills and Experience:
Strong interpersonal skillsStrong financial analysis skillsStrong writing and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and XLRequired Education
Pursuing bachelor's degree, preferably an incoming Junior
