Base plus commission structure - $60,000 base + Commission

Position Status - Full-time Exempt

Reports To: VP of Consumer Lending

Purpose : The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union (APCU) to live out our Mission, "To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service."

The Consumer Lending Sales Manager is personally responsible for the guidance, leadership, oversight, and operational aspects of consumer loan originations.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Consumer Lending Representatives, fostering a culture of excellence, outstanding member service, and continuous improvement.Puts measures in place to monitor the origination and follow up activities of the Consumer Lending Representatives, including the quality of their interactions with members and internal business partners.Maintains a standard of excellence for the presentation of ancillary products and services, ensuring that proper consultative conversations are taking place with members, proper disclosures are presented to members, and members are fully aware and voluntarily decide, whether pro or con, regarding their purchase of products and services.Exercises personnel authority, including hiring and interviewing, completion of performance appraisals, and establishing business and learning objectives for each individual supervised.Ensures satisfactory and timely resolution of member complaints, inquiries, disputes, and problems; Sets a standard for prompt action on the part of all supervised parties having impact on the member service experience.Oversees the presentation and sale of Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs) by licensed Consumer Lending Representatives.Collaborates with the VP of Consumer Lending to align sales strategies with company goals, objectives, and member service standards and to identify opportunities for improvement in processes, procedures, software, and applications.Maintains awareness of competitive trends, market trends, and rate trends that impact consumer lending activities.Maintains up to date knowledge of the products and services offered by the credit union.Effectively uses written and oral communication skills in all daily correspondence and completion of tasks.Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and issues.Takes responsibility for ensuring that all Consumer Lending Representatives, and others under your supervision, adhere to the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Military Lending Act (MLA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and all other state and federal laws and regulations associated with the granting of credit to consumers.Ensure that all activities and operations of consumer loan originations and application processes are conducted in compliance with all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory restrictions.Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position.Occasional travel up to 10%; Occasional night or weekend work hours.Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises a team of 5-8 Consumer Lending Representatives. May be required to achieve established objectives and results through communications with internal and external stakeholders, other managers, and members.

REQUIRED Education and/or Experience:

An associate's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field. Two years additional specific work experience in lieu of degree4 years specific work experience in a lending role, with a minimum of two having been in a supervisory capacityStrong working knowledge of lending regulations, risk management, and industry best practicesPREFFERED Education and/or Experience:

A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field4 years of specific lending supervisory work experience within a Credit UnionRelevant certifications

Physical Job Requirements:

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand.
