JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The development assistant is responsible for the timely and accurate entry of a variety of data including donor, patient and personnel, as needed, as well as various office-related tasks in support of multiple departments. This position is part-time with flexible hours by approval from the Marketing & Development Director.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides support to the Development Department through data entry of all donor gifts into the donor management system (DonorPerfect).

2. Assists the functions of all donor relations through timely and accurate data entry, mail management, and system reporting.

3. Generates regular correspondence to donors related to donor gifts, fundraisers, and events.

4. Maintains excel spreadsheets and organization of electronic files for the Development Department.

5. Prepares in-house mailings for seasonal publications, events, and general communication to donor base.

6. Prepares daily report of donor gifts and verifies accuracy of data entered through use of donor management system reports.

7. Supports the functions of other departments as needed related to patient care, human resources, billing, volunteers, and inventory management.

8. Maintains confidentiality of donor, patient, and organization information at all times.

Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. At least two (2) years experience in data entry, preferably in donor management systems or customer relations management systems (CRMs).

2. Proficiency in Miscrosoft systems and office products.

3. Is a high school graduate or equivalent, two (2) years college preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Highly organized and detail-oriented

2. Ability to maintain accurate records

3. Experience and comfort with computer systems and office products, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and data management systems

Salary Description

$15 - $18 / hour
