We have an opening for a part-time
Physical Therapist
at the PHILLIPS ~ Annandale program for
ESY
(summer school) and into the
'24-'25 School Year .
What the PT does:
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic physical therapy services to students. Serve as a consultant to teachers and other staff regarding the development and implementation of physical therapy strategies that support educational goals and objectives.Serves as a resource to teachers for materials and methods.Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team members and with parentsAttends IEP meetings, CSTs and other meetingsProvides physical therapy evaluation/screening.Discuss screening/evaluation results with jurisdictions (LEAs).Develops and implements an individualized therapeutic program (as part of the IEP) for each student receiving physical therapy services on individual caseload.Provides individual/group/classroom physical therapy.Provides services in a variety of on/off campus settings.Provides consultative physical therapy to team members and parents.Monitors students' perceptual motor skills for follow up.Writes treatment notes for each physical and therapy visit.Writes quarterly progress reports.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
What the PT brings to the team:
Must hold valid Virginia State license issued by the National Board of Physical Therapy.Prior experience in a school setting or with special education preferred.
