CommunicationSocial skillsDaily living skillsAdaptive behaviors (aka age-appropriate behavior)The Registered Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned clients, and help clients reach maximum performance level and to use skills learned to the fullest.Responsibilities:
Provide OT services to clients aged 2-8 years oldDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needsHelp patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and tasksProvide consultation to center staff in the areas of perceptual motor, fine motor, gross motor, balance, motor sequencing, and performance problemsMaintain timely and accurate client records and reports, ensuring client progressCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client careEducate families on strategies for managing conditions and maximizing independenceSkills:
Enthusiastic personality that will engage childrenStrong client service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic careAbility to collaborate and communicate with BCBAs, BTs, parents, and clients in a positive and constructive way.Experience working with pediatric clients is highly preferredExcellent organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and childrenAbility to plan, manage, and evaluate curriculumProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required for record keeping and documentationFamiliarity with medical terminology and documentation requirementsPhysical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the home and/or classroomMust be able to lift to 45 pounds at a timeMust be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with clientsNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. Salary : $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year (negotiable based on experience)
