SWBC is seeking a talented individual to provide basic technical evaluation, support, and maintenance for computer systems. This individual will also maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair PC and laptop computers as well as computer peripherals.

Essential duties include the following:

Analyzes basic technology problems related to hardware, software and peripherals; resolves technical malfunctions efficiently and expediently according to service level agreements established in the Help Desk System.Provides Help Desk technical support by receiving calls and/or assisting users remotely via telephone or by using remote access tools.Performs new PC setup, configuration and installation; rebuilds and upgrades existing hardware and peripherals, including software upgrades.Assists Senior PC Technicians with more complicated installations. maintenance, and escalated problems involving personal computer hardware, software and/or operating system components in an effort to gain knowledge and exposure to various problems and resolutions.Maintains and secures hardware component inventories, software licensing and overall cleanliness and organization of the PC Bench Room.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalency.Minimum of two to three (2-3) years' experience in the field of personal computer support and ability to support industry standard software products in a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.Basic working knowledge of internal hardware components.Ability to comprehend and apply technology relative to hardware, software, peripherals, and operating systems with minimal directionAbility to effectively prioritize workloads to provide maximum coverage for all critical issues and "deadline specific" projects, while meeting established service level agreements.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills in representing the "face" of the IT Department.Ability to communicate effectively with users in a support role, with vendors, and with management when required.Basic understanding of current office related software product essentials, to include MS Office, Windows Operating Systems, and Lotus NotesAbility to discern how to install, configure, and provide a minimum level of support on non-standard software applications.Possess a Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MSDST) Certification.Able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. of computer equipment and peripherals, as needed.Able to stoop and kneel to reach wiring and wall jacks.Travel locally and nationally.SWBC offers*:
