PositionOverview:The Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations works closely with the Executive Director of Ambulatory Services to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement in resource utilization, quality, and general operations. As an integral member of the team, the Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations will be responsible for providing insightful analysis of the achievement of goals, forward thinking, recommendations, as well as financial input in the development and implementation of business strategies and objectives. The Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations leads/supports the organization in the adoption of data-driven decision making as a strategic business leader for Singing River Medical Clinics.The Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations participates directly in the formulation of tactical and strategic business plans and objectives and helps to ensure proper processes and procedures are developed to keep the business on track to deliver on their financial commitments, compliance, and quality care. The Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations provides a source of business knowledge and problem-solving capabilities to ensure sound analysis, recommendations, and actionable programs arising from assignments involving a wide range of business or financial problems. The Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations designs reports for new information requests and identifies the appropriate technological solutions for various data needs. The Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations verifies the accuracy and integrity of data and completes requests for information. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees.

Experience:Preferred experience in similar setting with operational leadership experience. The Director of Primary Care Clinical Operations must have a minimum of five (5) years data management and analysis experience. Three (3) years healthcare experience in a medical office setting preferred. Must have experience in financial planning; project management; process analysis and improvement techniques; and forecast modeling and budgeting. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Demands:Work is moderately sedentary: involves sitting with regular requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area. Work involves using repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating standard office equipment. Work involves being able to perceive the nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction; the ability to make fine discriminations in sound. Work requires close visual acuity and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus, i.e. shift gaze from viewing a computer monitor to forms/printed material that are closer to compare data at close vision. Must be able to be active for extended periods of time without experiencing excessive fatigue. Must be able to work flexible hours, when required/requested.
Mental Demands:Must possess keen mental faculties in the management of information. Effective communication / speaking / enunciation skills to receive and give information in person and by telephone. Emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels associated with ongoing and changing needs of the position and the demands of maintaining effective working relationships with others. Must have the ability to make logical correlations between data points to determine if analysis is accurate. Must be detail oriented, meticulous, and accurate in completing tasks. Must be intuitive and skilled at problem solving.
Special Demands:Must be proficient with a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (i.e., MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Must possess the ability to work independently with little supervision and seek guidance as need to clarify assignments or request for more information. Must possess basic business skills, an understanding of general financial operations and major AR goals in the healthcare environment. Must possess the ability to function independently; and have highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills. Must possess medical community knowledge and an understanding of and commitment to providing the best patient service. Must possess the ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community. Must have a valid driver license as job requires traveling throughout the Singing River Health System service area interacting with organizations, physicians and medical practices in the community.
