The General Manager oversees the operation of the entire enterprise making hiring decisions, managing cash flow, leading collaborative efforts, facilitating the generation of revenue and working to limit expenses. The General Manager, working with the President, manages the finances, marketing and human resources of the company while supervising other managers and working directly with employees to help them be more productive and successful within their positions. This senior management position oversees the hiring of store managers, and visits our other store locations to help them with specific issues and objectives, institutes policies regarding employee productivity and wages and manage the generation of revenue within the branch locations. The position is based out of the company headquarters in the Provincetown MA store with travel between stores as dictated by projects, meetings and need.

Responsibilities:Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of retail management experienceAbility to lift 40 pounds consistently and stand/walk for up to 8 hoursMA Drivers License and ability to travel between stores.Ability to drive a forklift or to learn to drive one
