As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls, you are part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team, you execute basic software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities:
Unix/Linux Systems Administration including installation, package management, updating, and troubleshootingWindows Systems Administration including installation, package management, updating, and troubleshootingTask automation with scripting and infrastructure-as-code technologies (Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell)Production environment troubleshooting (networking, server hardware, RBAC, Active Directory)Creating written documentation of solutions and leading cross-training sessions for team membersManaging projects while gathering requirements from stakeholders, and/or communicating challenges with vendors.System Design and Integration of 3rd Party ApplicationsImplement Cybersecurity organization practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologiesComplete assignment in Agile framework along with vulnerability assessment and remediationAttend team meetings and contribute to discussionsBe proactive regarding environment needs and bring them to the attention of the team, while recognizing technology trends and keep up with them in your work environmentRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Obtain formal knowledge, 3 plus years in Engineering and/or CybersecurityWorking knowledge of Windows Systems AdministrationExperience in Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, Kali) Systems AdministrationNetworking configuration and troubleshooting (routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP)3rd party vendor software installation, configuration and integration.Configuration Management / Automation (Ansible, Terraform)Experience with Directory Services (LDAP, Active Directory, ADFS)Git - storing, editing, and retrieving code in a collaborative environmentPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Broadcom VMware administration (ESXi, vSphere, Data Center Virtualization)Cloud Infrastructure implementation and management (AWS, Azure, GCP)Systems monitoring (Splunk, Zabbix)BCDR Design and ImplementationWeb services administration (nginx, Apache, certificates)
