is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist with a Top- Secret clearance to support
TGS
and our government customer in Falls Church, VA.

TGS is searching for an exceptionally talented Personnel Security Specialist. The successful candidate will provide focused personnel security support and be versatile in other primary security disciplines to the client, as part of a team. This position will include ensuring government security requirements are met, coordinating, and working with internal and external organizations, generating solutions for new and developing security programs, employing risk management practices in supporting security goals and objectives, and coordinating the actions of another staff member. Because of the nature of the required duties, this position requires an individual with an understanding of DoD Personnel Security, CAC issuance, DD254s, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). environment.
Responsibilities:
Serves as a support to the Government Personnel/Physical Security Officer for the CDAO.
Supports all duties required to obtain and maintain all accreditations of CDAO facility spaces.
Interprets and implements DoD security regulations and policies.
Interprets and applies Personnel Security, Information Security, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Special Access Program policies, procedures, and guidelines
Establishes control procedures for all levels of sensitive information to ensure compliance with government regulations.
Performs all duties required for completion and submission of reports to government agencies.
Performs functions required to obtain security clearances for the CDAO staff.
Supports all functions related to briefing and debriefing of CDAO staff.
Ensures that CDAO staff, consultants and subcontractors are aware of conditions and requirements for maintaining security clearances.
Conducts security briefings and presentations required by the CDAO.
Liaisons with government agencies regarding security clearances and classified visits.
Designates the proper controls for handling classified documents and/or hardware belonging to government agencies.
Manage all actions required for CAC issuance
Support and assist with ordering and issuing SIPR tokens
Support and assist with onboarding of new personnel
Accesses the Defense Information Security System (DISS) on a regular basis
Advises and assists CDAO staff with Information Systems Security requirements.
Reviews (DD254s) classification specifications as needed for contracts and subcontracts.
Coordinates the actions of the CDAO security staff in absence of the Team Lead
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
:
8 years of DoD Security experience.
Extensive knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies.
The knowledge of administrative regulations and sanctions that apply to violations or non-compliance with security regulations.
Extensive experience using the Defense Information Security System (DISS)
Knowledge of and experience applying Information Security policies and guidelines
Knowledge of and experience applying Operations Security (OPSEC) procedures and policies
Knowledge of and experience applying Special Access Program procedures and policies
Experience analyzing various types of materials, to develop information regarding security vulnerabilities as it would apply to approval or denial of facility or information system access.
Experience organizing and managing large amounts of data, files, tasks, schedules, and information.
Experience navigating the Pentagon to execute job tasks
Proficient MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook application skills.
Oral and written communications skills consistent with the ability to conduct interviews, security briefings, and prepare communications settings forth analyses and recommendations in a concise, logical, and objective manner.
Strong organizational management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
Highly motivated, professional, and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities.
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required in a relevant field or security certifications
Security Pre-Requisite:
To be considered, must have a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
