As a Human Resources Generalist with NVR, you will directly support our manufacturing plants across the company footprint.
This position will support the Human Resources function in partnering with NVR’s ten manufacturing plants in the areas of training, policy and benefits management, new plant start-ups, and employee engagement and communication. The HR Generalist will also provide back-up support to the HR Business Partners in providing guidance and direction to plant leadership related to investigations, employee relations items, regulatory compliance, etc.
Pay Range is $68K-$85K.
What you will be doing:
Partner with HR & Manufacturing leadership to identify training opportunities, develop training content, and manage training records for Manufacturing.
Lead the relocation process for new plant start-ups and partner with leadership to ensure understanding of NVR’s policy and relocation packages. Provide guidance and direction on the policy and process and partner with corporate Accounting and HR to ensure a compliant and consistent process.
Support the updating and/or implementation of HR policies, programs, communications, and initiatives for Manufacturing. Partner with leadership and NVR Benefits, Payroll, IT, & HR to ensure effective and consistent rollout and communication.
Provide counsel on HR policies and benefits programs, NVR best practices, regulatory compliance, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and other HR topics.
Ensure manufacturing plants stay up to date on state, local, and federal regulations and provide communication on new or changing laws.
Act as lead for employment testing process and records. Identify opportunities and create new baselines and benchmarks.
Support HRBPs and plant leadership with employee relations issues and investigations and follow-up on resolutions, as needed.
Create, maintain and review HRIS reports to provide analytics, data driven solutions, and continuous improvement suggestions to management.
Track and monitor turnover, recommend solutions to retain employees and participate in employee engagement activities.
Participate in and/or lead special projects, as assigned.
Qualified applicants have:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business
3+ years of Human Resources experience
Experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred
Experience working effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to build relationships, influence, and coach others
Strong attention to detail and experience handling confidential information
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, using sound judgment, problem solving, and decision-making
Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment and requirements
Strong organizational skills, with the proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Drive and initiative to improve processes through data analysis and project management
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
Ability to travel to other Manufacturing plants
