CNC Lathe Operator - Berea, OH$30 - $40/HR
The CNC Lathe Setup Operator is responsible for setting up CNC Lathe Machinery as well as providing support to Operators and set-up personnel to ensure quality production moves through the department.
DAY SHIFT
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the production setups of all the machinery in the CNC Lathe department
Operates the CNC machines when necessary
Provides support to ensure quality production of products, and moves through the department efficiently
Collaborating with Engineers to assess how a job should run on a machine as well as providing feedback and updates
Collaborates with Quality and Production Manages on non-conformances and corrective actions
Manages discipline and coaching for CNC Lathe Operators
Works directly with scheduler on the IQMS ERP system
Oversees the CNC Lathe Operators to ensure their machine area is clean, including floor, machine, and workstation
Troubleshoots new programming, jobs, tooling, and documentation with the Engineering Department
Manages Hour by Hour production for department
Monitors all setups to ensure compliance and accuracy in relation to the setup procedures
Follows all internal, OSHA, and outside agency safety regulations
Monitors production of task in/task out times and daily production activity
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous 2-3
years experience of
machining, as well as an expert understanding of the functionality of the machines.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents. Ability to effectively
present information to the Plant Manager.
Computer Skills
Intermediate level computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine
IQMS activity, word processing, etc.
