Supply Chain Information Systems Lead
will be responsible to:
Provide functional (and some technical) guidance and work direction to staff, no direct reports.Lead integration of department software and lead in testing and implementation of systems installations and upgradesWork with appropriate staff and vendors to resolve complex problems, and provide direct assistance to end users. Function as an expert and liaison to Hospital groups regarding all Supply Chain Systems (ERP, Receiving, Inventory, EDI, etc.)Provide support and training for Supply Chain Systems Applications. Develop, prepare, review user documentation and training materialsRespond to requests from department users for information or assistance regarding Supply Chain System Applications problems. Monitor, resolve or escalate support issues as appropriateOversee maintenance of Supply Chain system data bases. Queries tables in ERP system to extract raw data and then turn that data into actionable information that enables decision makingDevelop and recommend best practices for systems and processes. Analyze areas within the Supply Chain Systems for opportunities for automation and recommend enhancements to improve quality, integrity, and overall department effectivenessProvide a high level of service to customers in projects of moderate to large size and complexity, including testing of enhancements and analyze end resultsManage, influence, educate, and gain respect of staff members who are not direct reportsTo qualify, you must have:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field and 5 yrs of experienceWorkday experience highly preferredAnalytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principlesCommunication skills to persuade and negotiate with others on important matters.Ability to effectively manage the employees within assigned unit/dept and to persuade and negotiate with peer-level managers on issues and programs that impact assigned unit/departmentHybrid remote position requires 2-3 days on siteBoston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits, including an affordable health, vision and dental insurance, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition Reimbursement, and discounted rates on T-passes (50% off).
