HR Generalist
Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting and managing various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance. This position will be a vital link between management and employees, helping to foster a positive workplace culture and ensuring that HR practices align with the company's mission and goals. Candidate must reside in the Philadelphia area.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, background checks, reference checks, and selection.
Manage onboarding processes to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated, including orientation and documentation.
Maintain new hire packet to ensure all new members receive the required information
Sending and tracking Restrictive Covenant documents based on position.
Employee Relations
Serve as a point of contact for employees' HR-related inquiries.
Address and resolve employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and conduct investigations as necessary.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Managing employee rating system on 3rd party platforms EX - indeed and Google ratings
Performance Management
Assist in the implementation and management of performance evaluation programs.
Provide guidance to all internal departments on performance management issues and development plans.
Support employees in understanding expectations and career development pathways.
Benefits Administration
Work with iSolved to administer information on employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
Handle open enrollment periods and answer employee questions about benefits.
Managing and tracking PTO requests
Compliance & Policies
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain and update company HR policies and ensure they are effectively communicated and enforced.
HR Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate employee records, manage HRIS data, and generate reports as needed.
Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
Training & Development
Coordinate learning and development programs for employees with the training department.
Organize and conduct training sessions, workshops, and development activities as required.
Other Duties as Assigned
Support special HR projects and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
Assist with HR events, employee recognition programs, and other engagement activities.
Any other duties or tasks as designated by the Executive Leadership team and C-Suite
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in HR, preferably in a generalist role is required
Certifications:
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
Personal Attributes:
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make informed decisions that impact the organization and strengthen team culture
Travel:
This position is remote, however, some travel to our Philadelphia office is required.
