The Cleveland office of Squire Patton Boggs is hiring an Executive Legal Secretary. The individual hired for this position will support multiple assignments within the transactional practice groups. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Primary responsibilities include:
Prepare, revise and proofread legal documents and correspondenceSchedule appointments, travel arrangements, conferences and client meetingsPrepare expense and disbursement forms for reimbursement or paymentMaintain assignment calendarsCoordinate incoming/outgoing mail and packagesAnswer telephones and relay messages appropriatelyPrepare timesheets and review client billsMaintain client and administrative files in accordance with firm procedures, including within the document management systemExercise independent judgment when prioritizing work assignmentsPerform other secretarial duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical schoolMinimum 3 years of legal secretarial experience, preferably in a law firm or, equivalent combination of education and experienceProficiency with Microsoft Word including knowledge of how to convert, clean, and style documentsExpert knowledge of other software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting/billing softwareMust have strong communication and organizational skillsOvertime flexibility is necessary
