District 19 Community Services Board has an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to be responsible for managing the Childrens Services Unit that provides services for children and youth who are seriously emotionally disturbed and/or at risk of substance use disorders.
Located in the South Central Virginia, District 19 Community Services Board is located in an area rich with history and full of vibrant culture. The area is close to several colleges and universities and is convenient to many local and state parks and trails as well as metropolitan areas. District 19 CSB covers over 1900 sq. miles of service area, including urban, suburban and rural areas. District 19 CSB serves Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Emporia, Greensville, Hopewell, Petersburg, Prince George, Surry and Sussex. Our main location, where our Children's Services Unit Manager position is located, is in Old Town Petersburg. Old Towne Petersburg is a charismatic place that has drawn many to live in historic Petersburg and even more to visit to dine, shop, enjoy cultural events, observe its historic architecture, and visit its many historic sites. Old Towne is an inviting culinary and shopping destination, with almost all of its restaurants and shops in historic structures and ran by small business owners.
Essential job duties of this position include administrative and clinical oversight of all mental health (MH) and substance use disorder (SUD) children's services and programs; supervision of staff; management of billing and data; and ensuring effective service delivery in a nine-locality catchment area.
Applicants are required to meet the following in order to be considered:
Must have Masters degree in a Human Services fieldMust be currently licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP)Must have at least two years of administrative and clinical supervisory experienceMust have demonstrated clinical experience working with youth who have MH/SUD disorders
This position is a Grade S-C12 with a starting annual salary of $72,818 and is commensurate with experience/training.
Excellent benefits include sick, annual, and birthday leave, observation of all Federal holidays, group life insurance, and participation in the Virginia Retirement System.
Some weekend and evening hours possible.
Position requires a valid Virginia driver's license with driving score of -6 or higher.
Extensive background check to include fingerprints, drug screening, Central Registry search, and DMV search.
