Job Title: Program Manager Support Specialist
Location: Eglin AFB, FL (Onsite)
Canvas is seeking qualified candidates to provide program management support to the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS contract at Eglin AFB in Florida! The 780th Test Squadron is the Air Force's developmental test agency for air-to-air, air-to-ground and direct fire munitions. The individual should have a working knowledge of USAF and/or USN fighter airborne weapons systems, program management and DoD acquisitions concepts. The individual should have knowledge of DODI5000.89 DAFI99-103 AFMC SUP and able to assist in its implementation. Prior experience in developmental or operational testing is highly desired. Aircrew experience is highly desired. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
Duties:
Assist in the acquisition strategy analysis and planning for the Air Force and Joint weapons development programs.
Assist program milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling, and assist in review of program direction and guidance.
Develop test planning documentation for an emerging weapons program.
Coordinate, schedule, and participate in method of test review, Safety Review, and Test Approval Boards.
Coordinate schedule changes, aircraft scheduling, and test coordination with internal and external agencies.
Forecast test assets and range requirements and serve as Point of Contact for test development.
Develop and analyze key program metrics, assist with program briefings, and review of prime Contractor and subcontractor performance.
Compile and report test data and metrics for monitoring and managing the test process.
Have good organizational skills to track and obtain all test-mandated approvals.
Ability to assemble and lead a team of experts.
Requirements:
Master's degree in relevant discipline and 10+ years of experience
Candidate must be analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented.
Able to work as part of a team and be able to prioritize and manage their work to achieve outcomes.
Ability to communicate clearly to multiple stakeholders and resolve competing test resource requirements.
Familiarity with instrumentation, range, aircraft, aircrew, data and safety constraints associated with developmental test.
Experience with developmental testing in a classified environment.
Must have the ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical/logistical objectives and Test requirements and provide effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities.
Respond effectively to rapidly changing situations.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Adobe Acrobat applications.
Desired Experience:
Special Access Program experience.
Experience or familiarity with MRTFB testing at locations such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, White Sands Missile Range, and others.
Experience with hypersonic weapons development and defense acquisitions processes.
Experience with USAF and USN fighter/bomber operations and weapon systems.
Familiar with Air Force and Navy test processes and regulations, and with the DoD acquisition enterprise.
Experience developing creative strategies to successfully achieve high-paced testing milestones.
Knowledgeable in DT/OT test processes.
Understanding of procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
Security Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance; TS/SCI security clearance desired.
