OverviewThe
Procurement Coordinator
will collaborate closely with the Procurement Leader, assisting with daily operations such as procurement system transactions, vendor selection and onboarding, negotiation, and contract management. This role is responsible for ensuring that all indirect goods and services are procured in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
A Day In The Life:
Purchase indirect spend items, ensuring alignment with internal requirements.
Expedite, cancel, defer, and manage system-generated and manual purchase orders to meet organizational needs.
Execute Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms.
Evaluate suppliers based on capability, performance, and delivery standards.
Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, delivery times, and lead times.
Reconcile pricing issues with Accounts Payable (AP).
Handle negotiations and settlements with suppliers for damage claims, rejections, returns, over shipments, cancellations, and product discontinuations.
You'll Come With:
A Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with Oracle (preferred).
Strong skills in analysis, analytics, and working with spreadsheets.
