Position Overview
The Project Manager of Strategy and PMO will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, overseeing the project management office for a regional supermarket chain. This role is responsible for aligning business objectives with strategic planning, managing large-scale projects, and driving operational efficiencies. Executive Administrative Assistant duties to support Vice President of AP&S in Department initiatives and day to day operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to meet organizational goals.
- Lead the PMO, overseeing project governance, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Ensure alignment of projects with business objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on key initiatives.
- Establish performance metrics and reporting to monitor progress.
- Identify risks, mitigate challenges, and ensure timely project execution.
- Managing and allocating resources across projects based on priorities, schedules, and budgets.
- Identifying and mitigating risks across projects.
- Serving as a liaison between project teams and stakeholders.
- Conducting regular project reviews and assessments to evaluate performance.
- Coordinate meetings and meeting materials
- Create Power Point Presentations and Gatekeeper of projects documentations and files
- Manage VP of AP&S calendars and point of contact for coordinating meetings/events, travel and conferences
- Prepares Spanish translations of policies and procedures, memos, and other documents as assigned
- Performs additional administrative duties and assignments that help assure a smooth and efficient business process

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in strategy and project management.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, or supermarket industry preferred.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
Physical Demands
Will be required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Some travel and overnight stays from time to time. May also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. Manage several requests and situations at one time or simultaneously (multitask).
Position type /Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt-level position; the schedule would be based on business necessity. Will be required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Monday to Friday (available to a flexible schedule based on needs).
