Position Summary
As the Cold Food Supervisor, you will lead our Food Department, overseeing a team of 20+ employees focused on delivering top-quality products to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring that food production meets strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Shift, initially, you will train on day shift (start varies but 7am, most likely) then will more than likely move to a night shift later starting between 5pm and 7pm. Weekends will definitely be included with 2days off together during the week.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Supervise team to ensure food is produced and assembled by FDA, USDA, HACCP, and airline specification
- Ensure on-time and accurate food production to meet Kitchen Ready Times
- Conduct daily manpower planning and adjust as necessary to ensure efficient allocation of labor.
- Maintain Knife Log and ensure compliance with Knife Policy
- Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality control.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and staffing requirements to meet operational needs while controlling labor costs.
- Analyze performance metrics and financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly and effectively, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the food department.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to uphold high standards of performance, professionalism, and customer service.
What We Look for in a Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge preferred
- One to three years of related work experience in a food production environment
- Problem-solving and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve productivity goals
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills are required along with the ability to multi-task
