Commercial Lines Department Manager

Our client, a leading Insurance Company, is continuing to expand their presence throughout the Valley and is seeking to add a Commercial Lines Business Unit Manager. This person will be responsible for managing the agency’s Account Managers. The position will require you to lead and inspire the Commercial Lines team to achieve optimal outcomes, playing a key role in their performance and success.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to design and implement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Develop and execute plans to efficiently allocate resources, ensuring profitability and high service standards.
- Handle recruitment efforts, selecting candidates that meet departmental needs, while aligning individual skills and aspirations with appropriate roles.
- Maintain proficiency with the agency management system (EPIC) and other supporting software.
- Provide effective leadership and mentorship to commercial lines account managers and support staff, cultivating a culture of excellence.
- Supervise daily operations, task assignments, and performance assessments within the commercial lines service department.
- Ensure that each team member is meeting company goals and performance standards.
- Onboard new employees and provide training on company protocols and procedures.
- Participate in internal meetings and complete required training sessions.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancements based on client feedback and emerging industry trends.
- Establish and refine best practices for service delivery
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Commercial Account Manager
- Previous experience working directly for an Insurance Carrier, Broker, or Agency
- Ability to analyze employee development needs
- Active/Valid Insurance License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's Degree is strongly desired.
Salary/Benefits:
- $110,000 to $125,000+ annual salary plus bonus
