Looking for an experienced and customer-focused Desktop Technician to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in desktop support, demonstrating a strong grasp of desktop hardware, software, and networking.

This role involves providing support in various environments, including in-person and remote settings, and collaborating with manufacturing teams to address technical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level assistance with desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
  • Configure, set up, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, and other IT equipment. Ensure that new systems are integrated smoothly into the organization's infrastructure.
  • Offer advanced support for both Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as enterprise applications.
  • Address high-priority incidents promptly and efficiently. Ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Perform regular maintenance including system backups, software updates, and hardware repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, service requests, and technical issues. Document troubleshooting procedures and resolutions for future reference.
  • Work closely with IT team members and other departments to tackle complex technical problems. Contribute to IT projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with end-users.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment, production software, and network systems. Provide support for machinery interfaces, industrial automation systems, and other critical production technologies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for repairs and upgrades.
  • Offer on-site and remote support to plant staff for technical issues including computer systems, printers, barcode scanners, and other related equipment.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Desktop Technician or in a similar IT support role.
  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field are preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality customer service and support.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
