Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is critical to supporting various electrical engineering functions including planning and execution of projects related to commercial and government facilities. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of related experience in electrical design and project execution with either commercial or government facilities. This is a hybrid role, where the candidate will be expected to report into the office three days per week. The salary for this role ranges from $80,000-140,000 depending on experience level and knowledge.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing electrical capacity and developing solutions to meet customer needs. • Providing support in various electrical engineering roles, including electrical design for system upgrades and new installations.

• Designing electrical systems for both small and large-scale electrical upgrades and equipment replacements.

• Spending 80% of time in a "behind the desk" setting, with 20% in the field for assessments, surveys, and data gathering.

• Bringing insights from field assessments back to the office for proposal development.

• Developing detailed project proposals and technical solutions for various electrical projects.

Requirements:

• Facilities layout and design experience: Demonstrated experience performing all engineering duties related to commercial or government facilities design and execution

• Electrical Design Experience: Proven experience in electrical design, including power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems, telecom systems, and motor controller centers

• ABET Degree: A degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required
