Position: IT Director (Head of IT)
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Office: 3 days onsite/2 days remote
Grayson Search is partnering with a well established manufacturing client based in Schaumburg, IL on the recruiting efforts for an IT Director. This individual will be overseeing their IT Infrastructure along with their ERP system. Our client is investing heavily in technology and will be doing a digital transformation of their IT environment. This individual will lead the selection and implementation of a brand new ERP system along with continuing the migration of their on-prem infrastructure to Azure.
Job Summary:
The IT Director is tasked with managing all facets of the information technology infrastructure and ERP environment, ensuring our systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute an IT strategy that supports the company’s business objectives and manufacturing goals.
- Stay informed on emerging technology trends and propose solutions to enhance IT infrastructure and services.
- Oversee daily operations of the IT department, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance of all IT systems and applications.
- Manage IT budgets effectively, focusing on cost-efficient procurement of hardware, software, and services.
- Create and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and take corrective measures.
- Safeguard company data, networks, and systems from internal and external threats.
- Engage in the deployment, configuration, and management of IT systems and networks.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to understand their IT requirements and provide solutions that improve productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee the IT budget to ensure effective resource allocation and cost management.
- Establish performance metrics for the team to enhance accountability.

Education and Experience:
- At least 6 years of experience in IT management, focusing on infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT teams and projects.
- Advanced certifications in relevant areas (such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or ITIL).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
