LOCATION
This is a remote role, prefers candidate to be AZ based or on central, pacific time zones.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide insight, guidance, recommendations and action plans regarding category opportunities and key goals including product assortment, shelving, pricing and promotion planning for all assigned categories in collaboration with sales and marketing teams. Identify actionable insights and provide tactical direction for sales teams to achieve brand objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop presentations that support category direction as well as marketing and sales initiatives, including but not limited to, customer category reviews, new item presentations, category assessments, management reviews and marketing plans
- Build and maintain pricing strategies in collaboration with Sales and Marketing management
- Provide selling tools and analytical support including data and analysis which support key retailer objectives and other requests from sales and marketing teams, including but not limited to, Business Plan, Brand, Innovation, Category and Shopper / Channel insights
- Create dashboard sales reports for the organization providing status updates and causal factors
- Execute category planning process and provide fact-based recommendations with supporting data primarily for local and less complex customers in collaboration with the sales team
- Validate Brand segmentation across geographies /categories and build brand fact base
- Generate, analyze and track promotional spend reports to determine effectiveness of spend
- Generate, analyze, and distribute reporting information including but not limited to, Executive Management reports, Brand Rank and UPC rank reports, New Item and Discontinued Item reports, and reports requested from Sales for customer business reviews and sales presentations
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree, Business, Statistics, Economics, or Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience
- Three years of related experience
- One year experience in Syndicated Data and/or Consumer Packaged Goods
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 1 year broker or sales analyst role experience
- Database management experience in SQL, ACCESS, or similar
- Consumer Packaged Goods experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITITES (KSA’s)
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in a wide range of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments to produce actionable insights
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and in a team environment
- Experience with Product Launches, Market Share Analysis, Category Trends, Promotional Analysis, Retailer Share of Market, Competitive Analysis
- Knowledge of industry tools such as IRI/Nielsen; Spectra; NPD; Trade planning software
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
? Able to travel up to 10% of the time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
COMPENSATION
- $68,108-$85,000 annual salary, depending on geography, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is eligible for an incentive bonus, based on achievements of company targets and individual performance expectations
