Job Title: IT EHS SAP Functional Analyst

Work Type: Hybrid (Remote + Oakland General Office, 3 days per week)

Job Location: Oakland, CA

Salary: $160,000+

Position Summary

The IT SAP EHS Functional Analyst, Expert is responsible for developing IT solutions to support the client's Health and Safety functions. This role involves working across all phases of the software lifecycle, including business process analysis, system configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support. The analyst also applies different software development methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and SAP ACTIVATE.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consulting in SAP ERP systems to meet client and senior IT leadership business needs.

  • Lead the design and implementation of SAP EH&S solutions.

  • Serve as the SAP functional lead on projects, accountable for reviewing deliverables and overseeing SAP delivery.

  • Analyze complex end-to-end business processes and information needs for one or more functional areas.

  • Collaborate with business teams, technical analysts, and strategy organizations to develop integrated SAP solutions.

  • Evaluate and document alternatives to provide effective solutions to complex business problems.

  • Oversee SAP RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflow) development for work management projects, enhancements, and production support.

  • Prepare documentation for requirements, As-Is/To-Be processes, and identify gaps.

  • Design system processes, create prototypes, prepare functional specifications, and develop test plans.

  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Provide SAP subject matter expertise to ensure best practices are followed.

  • Manage overall SAP solution architecture and integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years of experience designing, configuring, and developing complex SAP EH&S solutions.

  • Strong experience with writing requirements documents, functional specifications, and business process flows.

  • Experience in designing new enhancements, reports, and interfaces with non-SAP systems.

  • Strong understanding of ERP interrelationships and dependencies between modules.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in SAP S/4 EH&S implementation and support.

  • Knowledge of SAP EH&S Cloud solutions such as SAP EHS Workplace, SAP Asset Manager (SAM), and/or SAP Field Service Management (FSM).

  • Experience in utility health and safety.

  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, and disaster recovery.

  • SAP EH&S certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - Environment, Health, and Safety with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7).

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with modules like SAP EAM, SAP MM, SAP HCM.

  • Understanding of SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), SAP Finance (FICO), SAP Human Capital Management (HCM), SuccessFactors, SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM), and SAP Project Systems (PS).
