Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team in support of critical government initiatives. As a Senior Test Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the quality assurance testing processes for a variety of projects. You will work closely with government stakeholders, project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful government programs and help drive improvements in the functionality, security, and usability of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the test planning, test strategy development, and overall testing e?orts for multiple
government projects or programs. Hands-on knowledge of Regression Testing, Performance Testing and Automated Testing is essential.
· Provide support for systems integration engineering milestones and associated documentation in support of each modi?cation program. This includes reviewing contractor-provided integration program deliverables to assist the Government in their review of documentation and assisting in the development of organic data for the following systems engineering milestones: System Requirements Review (SRR), System Design Review (SDR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and engineering design audits such as Functional Con?guration Audit (FCA) and Physical Con?guration Audit (PCA) respective to the needs of each modi?cation program.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system
requirements, user stories, and technical speci?cations.
· Collaborate with program managers, developers, and business stakeholders to identify test requirements and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
· Assist with the review of Technical Data Packages (TDP) and identify issues with the product
drawings.
· Assist with translation of Government operational requirements into draft systems requirements documents based on customer requirements and Contractor analysis for assigned modi?cation programs.
· Supervise and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance on test execution, defect reporting, and best practices.

· Assist the Government in assembling required documentation for each acquisition milestone or review starting with the SRR.
· Assist with development and publishing of test plans, test schedules and test procedures.
· Oversee the execution of manual and automated test cases, ensuring e?ective defect tracking, resolution, and retesting.
· Analyze test results, track defects, and provide status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
· Ensure adherence to government testing standards, processes, and policies, including
compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility requirements.
· Identify areas for test automation and improvement, working to implement automated test
frameworks where applicable.
· Coordinate with other teams (development, infrastructure, operations) to ensure testing is integrated into the overall software development lifecycle (SDLC).
· Assist in risk management and provide solutions for quality assurance-related issues that may impact project delivery.
· Conduct reviews and assessments to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to
ensure quality outcomes.
· Participate in test planning working groups, test plan and test readiness reviews, and interface with test article design and analysis function representatives to help the Government develop test and test data requirements and collection methods.
· Assist with conducting post-test data evaluation and problem identi?cation and resolution utilizing relevant test, system, or maintenance experience.
· Conduct research, budget planning and analyses, and draft test project outlines, concept review brie?ngs, and electronic project orders.
· Assist with identi?cation and development of critical operational issues, objectives, and measures of e?ectiveness from review or knowledge of user requirement documents and operational employment considerations (tactics, techniques, and procedures).
· Participate in the design, publication, and storage of detailed test information and provide detailed input in the preparation of data and drawings
· Assist with development and execution of test required safety readiness and test readiness review presentations, and operational risk management assessments.
· Provide assistance to compile, reduce, and analyze test data from on-board and ground-based
sensors, to include statistical analysis of quantitative data
Required Quali?cations
· ABET Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a related ?eld.
· 15+ years of experience in software testing, integration, or related ?elds
· Strong experience in test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.
· Experience with test management software such as Quality Center, Selenium, Tricentis or TestRail.
· Experience in CI/CD based testing, such as linking Fortify Scan tool at the end of development cycle
· Familiarity with various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, V-Model) and the software
development lifecycle (SDLC).
· Understanding of security, accessibility, and privacy standards in software testing.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
· Ability to e?ectively prioritize and manage multiple testing projects simultaneously.
Preferred Quali?cations
· Experience with government IT projects and familiarity with government-speci?c compliance
and regulatory requirements.
· Experience with test automation frameworks and continuous integration/continuous
deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
· Experience in data management, including creating and executing data-driven test cases.
· Knowledge of risk-based testing, performance testing, and/or security testing.
· Experience with cloud-based applications, infrastructure, and testing in virtual environments.
