Position Overview: We are looking for a Senior Credit Policy Analyst to join our risk management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring credit policies that align with our business objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will analyze data and trends to inform policy decisions and improve overall credit risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop (propose credit policy changes) and maintain credit policies and procedures to ensure effective risk management.
- Analyze credit data and market trends to assess policy effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including underwriting, compliance, and risk management teams, to ensure policies are aligned with business goals.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of credit policies in response to regulatory changes and market dynamics.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential risks or opportunities for policy adjustments.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies on credit policy performance and compliance.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on credit policies and best practices.
- Stay informed on industry standards and emerging trends to enhance credit policy frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in credit policy development or analysis, preferably in financial institutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or credit risk management systems).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
