As the company expands, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Developers to join their Houston-based team and drive the development of impactful renewable energy projects.

Position Overview
As a Senior Project Developer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects from concept through to permitting and initial design phases. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing industry, contributing to some of the most innovative and large-scale renewable energy projects in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development process for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure sites for project development, conducting due diligence, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments.
• Oversee permitting processes, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and manage third-party consultants to meet project milestones.
• Work closely with engineering, financial, and operations teams to optimize project design and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
• Cultivate strong relationships with landowners, local stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project progression.
• Stay informed about industry trends, policies, and regulatory changes impacting solar and battery storage projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project development within the utility-scale renewable energy sector, specifically in solar and/or battery storage.
• Proven track record of managing multiple utility-scale projects from inception through permitting and pre-construction stages.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and permitting processes in Texas.
• Strong project management skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
