Plant Simulation Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Simulation Engineer with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in developing simulation models using Siemens Plant Simulation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in material flow Discrete Event Simulation, programming experience in Plant Simulation Sim talk, and a solid background in a manufacturing engineering environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in developing simulation models using Siemens Plant Simulation.
• Experience in material flow Discrete Event Simulation is a plus.
• Programming experience with Plant Simulation Sim talk.
• Experience in a manufacturing engineering environment preferred.
• Knowledge of different types of transportation systems such as AGV, fork truck, tugger, conveyor, and control logic is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel (VBA is a plus).
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic AutoCAD skills and strong MS Office suite skills.
• Ability to succeed in a high-paced environment with minimal oversight.

Job Duties:

• Develop, verify, and validate simulation models using dynamic simulation software (preferably Plant Simulation from Siemens).
• Conduct production line simulations.
• Design conveyor systems (Power & Free, Skids, Monorails, etc.).
• Develop material handling systems such as fork trucks, tuggers, AGV, AGC, etc.
• Implement Gantry/Bridge Cranes and ASRS systems.
• Perform delivery route analysis and operator efficiency analysis.
• Conduct throughput capacity, bottleneck, and downtime analysis.
• Optimize vehicle, carrier, and pallet resources.
• Determine storage capacity and perform sensitivity analysis.
• Develop comprehensive reports summarizing simulation findings and providing actionable suggestions.
