SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and colleagues to improve efficiency of operations.

· Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine effective utilization of the work force and the equipment.

· Lead project teams in root cause analysis, team problem solving activities and continuous improvement activities (ex. Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5-S workplace organization, etc.)

· Recommend methods for improving efficiency of the work force and reducing waste of materials, equipment and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.

· Coordinate new work and engineering changes to assure that operational needs are achieved and jobs meet engineering standards.

· Understand machine throughput analysis, as well as capacity planning.

· Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and Quality registration (ex. TS 16949, ISO 14001, etc.)

· Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum three (3) years of related technical, hands on experience.

· Evidence of working knowledge of formal problem solving techniques such as Kaizen, value stream mapping, JIT synchronous, SMED quick die change, etc.

· Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

· Demonstrated expertise in production assembly environments, with a focus on efficiency, precision, and adherence to quality standards.

· Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

· Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
